ACPL = Asheron's Call Player Luncheon!
This annual event allows the fans and players of Asheron's Call: Dark Majesty and Asheron's Call 2 to come together and meet the developers who keep the game fresh.
The ACPL will be held on July 12th at the Boston Sheraton in downtown Boston. The Boston Sheraton is conveniently located on the MBTA green line, as well as being within walking distance of the commuter rail stop at Back Bay Station. The Sheraton has a block of rooms reserved exclusively for the use of ACPL Attendees who wish to stay right in the convention center. To make a reservation, simply call (617) 236-2000 and tell the reservations desk that you are attending a Turbine event. Mentioning that you are attending a Turbine event will allow you to get the special ACPL discounted rate of $100 per night on both the 11th and 12th.
Schedule and Events
The biggest event over the last year for the Asheron's Call franchise has been the launch of Asheron's Call 2. To make sure that fans of both games get to see what they want from the game that interest them, this year's ACPL will be divided into two tracks, one for each AC game. Last year the ACPL featured developer Q&A panels, speeches by some of our most interesting leads, and of course free swag. This year will bring back all that and add even more, including a keynote address by Jeff Anderson, CEO of Turbine!
Each ACPL we put together a bag of goodies and privileges for those who are fanatic enough to not only come to the event, but to register as a premium attendee as well. We continue that tradition this year with goodies that include signed concept art and at least one limited edition collectible from the same artist who produced our silver olthois. In addition, everyone who registers as a premium attendee will be entered in an exclusive raffle to win a prize that can't be purchased in any store; dinner with the leading lights of the AC team!
For those who have always wanted to live out their adventures, this year Turbine is offering the first ever live action role play (LARP) based in the AC universe. Come as your favorite character and interact with other players as you solve a riddles and gain rewards. The LARP will take place at the convention center after the ACPL.
