An Announcement About Ken Karl

There has been some speculation lately in the community about Ken Karl’s status. I’m here to inform you that, regretfully, Ken has decided to pursue other opportunities inside Microsoft and will be leaving the Asheron’s Call Franchise.

Ken has been with the franchise almost from the beginning, starting as the Beta Test Coordinator and Community Manager for AC1. Since then, he has shepherded both games through over 50 monthly updates, managed the AC Dark Majesty expansion release and been Microsoft’s liaison with the community – that’s you guys – in both good times and bad. He’s learned from you, shared your difficulties, acted as your advocate inside Microsoft and, at times, braved your wrath.

Everyone at Turbine and Microsoft would like to thank Ken for his contributions to the game, for his leadership and, most of all, for the passion he brought to the game and the community. Whatever you decide to pursue there, Ken, good luck; you’ll be missed.

Going forward, both Microsoft and Turbine will continue to be here on accmty and the fan site forums, where you can get at us, . We’ll continue to seek your opinions, ideas and comments about both games; that’s a promise.
