Keep your eyes peeled for information about the Weeping Weapons over the next couple of weeks. (That's all I am saying for now.)
2) I think, excluding sword, melees still need some help in PvP. Maybe up the base damage for most melee weapons. Sword could actually use a bit of a nerf. I get poked (fast hits) for anywhere from 20-40 in al 450+ armor. Criticals and powerhits are insane.
I'm looking over the numbers. So far things appear to be in order. There are a few tweaks that we are planning, but like I said. Stay Tuned.
3) Missile weapons need a little help hitting mages. It takes forever to get a mage to half health, then they can run, heal, or drain and theres obsolutely nothing an archer can do. I like the idea of making arrows fly a bit faster. This wouldnt make archers more effective vs melees since they cant dodge up close anyhow. But would allow us to hit mages a little more often. If this cant be done, a slight increase in damage would sure be nice.
This one is a bit more difficult. We're in the process of trying to find a little help for Bow in PvP, but there isn't any concrete timeframe that we can give. When that help comes it may not be in the same format that has been proposed time and time again. Though we are committed to some changes for the better
4) Buffs..while VIIs certainly made things better, if you are hunting high level monsters or PvPing, there's a ton of spells to be cast. Anywhere from 80-110. Most of the new monsters are geared toward people that are buffed for their attack, so why make it take so long to buff? Why not group certain spells together into one spell. An example: an elemental bane spell, casts all four elemental banes on a single piece of armor. Then have one for non-elementals(including impen). This makes having to cast 8 spells into 2. Do the same with life protections...one spell that does all the weapons buffs. One spell that does all attributes, etc, etc. Maybe a magic buff that buffs all magic skills...defense buff that buffs all defenses...etc,etc They could do this for each spell level or maybe, for now, just VIs and VIIs since most people have (and use) at least VIIs. Even if they cost a little more mana and a were a little bit more difficult to cast it would be well worth it. Instead of having to cast 90 spells, maybe this would cut it to 20 or so. This means more time to play, less time watching Nerfus Buffus II buff you. (taken from my CoD post)
This one is unlikely to change any time soon. Though if it does it will be done with as much information coming to people as we can allow.
5) Expansion Pack with upgraded graphics and new content
See IBN's posts on the matter, elsewhere.
6) town love...I really dont have any good ideas, but man would it be nice to run into a town thats not completely empty once in a while. Maybe better sell rates, NPC buffbots(expensive),.....
Again stay tuned. We've got some ideas. Okay I'm lying...we have a ton of ideas. But like all things they take time to shine up real nice and get into a place where we feel ready to introduce them. It will happen, eventually.
7) I'd like for the devs to share more of what they have planned or in mind for the next 6 months or so, as far as major additions to the game. Most games do this and there really isnt a reason not to. If anything, it will keep players playing in anticipation.
We can paint ideas out of months, but like someone else posted here, if we underestimate the time frames that we are suggesting there'll be heck to pay. (We don't like paying heck, it does poor work and is really more trouble than it is worth.) What we will do is keep you updated, and ask for feedback on massive changes that we might be thinking of. We've been pretty good at that over the years. There's no reason to think that we're not going to keep communicating with fans after all this time.
