We have over 10,000 unique downloads of the Decal Public Alpha. This is absurd for an Alpha test. We are aware that people miss Decal, but I want to reiterate that THIS IS AN ALPHA TEST!

If you aren't capable of READING instructions and looking for forum postings detailing problems, YOU SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE ALPHA TEST.
If you aren't an advanced computer user capable of trying things on your own to fix any problems which may pop up, YOU SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE ALPHA TEST.
If you aren't capable of producing USEFUL ERROR REPORTS with the FULL ERROR INCLUDED along with a DECAL EXPORT, YOU SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE ALPHA TEST.

We are being absolutely flooded with support requests. It is eating up far too much of our time to continue development. If you are requesting support and you do not have a legitimate and useful error reports, EXPECT TO BE IGNORED.

I am SICK of computer newbies attempting to use the Alpha. It's an Alpha, and it is intended for serious and experienced computer users. If you are not one, DO NOT ASK FOR SUPPORT. We are not going to hold your hand any longer.

I agree that the support requests are taking up WAY too much time.. answering the SAME questions OVER and OVER again...

it's taking way longer than it should because WAY too many people are using the Alpha who really shouldn't be.

this is NOT the Decal everyone can use.. this is NOT the Decal where you can have 26 plugins running.. this is NOT the Decal made for everyday users.

this Alpha is ONLY intended for Plugin Developers and Users who KNOW what they are doing, and can provide the information we need to fix problems.

If you are not one of the above 2 groups of people, then please uninstall the Decal Alpha and wait for later (unless it works as is for you). If you are NOT one of the above 2 groups of people and you have issues using the Decal Alpha... TOUGH! Figure it out yourself. We don't have time to keep supporting you.

I just want to chime in here, and point out that:

1) We have around 6 major issues we are tracking
2) of these issues, we could have refreshed alpha this weekend for several of them, without the support nightmare.

Yes, you read that correctly. Some of the crashes could have been fixed already without all the support.

They probably won't get done this week even, at this point. We've spent all of our available time in support, and tracking down the same bug over and over again. We're out of dev time for this week, so it's likely we won't be able to fix things until this weekend at the soonest.

I'm not normally the one to be negative, but I hope all of you who didn't read our posts are happy with the delays you've caused.
