Asheron's Call Update 10/12/07

Hello there and welcome the latest edition of the Asheron’s Call update. It has been an interesting couple of weeks here at Turbine and we apologize for the lack of as much communication as we normally provide regarding what is happening with Asheron’s Call and the monthly update. That is why this update is now being posted, to fill in some of those information gaps.

The October event, Masked Memories will be going live on Tuesday October 16th. During this event we will be hitting the eighth anniversary of Asheron’s Call, and we want to celebrate. In the Release Notes for the October event which will be made live later on today, we will have some news that should make everyone happy, so stay tuned for the notes. 

One thing I did want to bring up from the upcoming release notes is that it appears we have fixed the infamous corpse locking bug. We are still going to watch things closely on this one, but from the testing we have done it appears this pesky bug will be gone once the October event goes live. This was not an easy thing to track down, as the game code can be a bit trickier than most anyone could imagine.

We are continuing to work with our Customer Service staff to improve the service provided to our players. We have already made some progress and we will continue to move forward with the goals we have set to give our customers the best service we possibly can.

The fansites will be getting their monthly teaser images today, so make sure you head over to the various sites to check them out. You never know what you might see.

Well that’s it for now. The release notes will have some interesting things this month and I am sure there will be some questions, so we will work to get them published along with the fiction as soon as possible.
