Singularity Troves

Ist nicht ganz korrekt, kommt der Sache aber nahe...

Here is a copy and paste of what I dug up.
(I found it on the WE board)

Final analysis of sing trove spawns:

Taking everything I said before we can now condense sing trove hunting down to the following. Every level 3 spawn spot has the potential to spawn a rare spawn. The percentage of that happening is 2%. Same goes for a trove. Once you get a trove to spawn you then have a 2% chance of the trove being a level 3 trove. In otherwords your chances of finding a level 3 trove are 2% of 2% or .04%. To increase your odds you need to find an area with maximum spawn points. I have an area all scoped out and anyone who has went pulling with me knows where this area is.

I have been all over the area's that troves spawn and this is one of the easiest places to get to and has one of the highest concentration of spawn points in a nice convenant area to make the land blocks reset at a good pace. Over the past 3 months I have only found 3 level 3 troves. Most of them took hours and hours to make spawn. So since I feel it is a waste of time doing this, I now pull if it is a level 2 trove, take the nice trade items and turn them into more sings so when I find a level 3 trove I can pull allot of sings on it.

Now your probably say, yeah that is all fine and dandy rem. But how the heck do I know what items determine if it is a level 1, 2 or 3 trove. OK here is my guide to grading a trove

A level 3 trove will spawn majors plain and simple. All 3 of the level 3 troves I found were spitting majors at a rate of 4 per 10 pulls. I usualy ended up pulling around 40 sings from each of these trove. Now mind you allot of the majors I get are either junk ones or on junk items and I end up selling them. But every once in a while a nice major will come out of a trove. Another item to tell if it is a level 3 trove is if it spits out 250+ armor or a max base weapon with the tightest damage vairent.

A level 2 trove will spit out minors like mad, 220+ armor, or close to maximum weapons. You may get a major or 2 per 10 pulls and maybe 1 maxed out weapon. But there will be allot of stuff that is very tradeable and this will help you restock your sings you used on these pulls.

A level 1 trove will be total junk. Nothing worth selling or keeping. If you make your one pull and get junk move on because 8 of the 10 pulls will be the same. Yes out of 10 pulls you might get 2 that yield something good. Where with level 2 or 3 troves 8 of the 10 pulls will yield something nice.

Here are also some good indicators of a level 2 or 3 trove. You always have to do at least one pull to tell. If the trove give you 12 or more items on first pull it might be a level 2 trove even if everything is junk on first pull. It might be 1 of the 2 bad pulls per 10 so go ahead and do a second pull.

If you get allot of arrows, quarrels, darts or non magic shields it is probably a level 1 trove even if you got 1 good item. You probably got 1 of the 2 good pulls per 10. But I would still do one more pull to be sure.

Also troves tend to have themes to them. Last night when me and rinth were pulling the level 2 trove we found was spitting out covenant armor like mad. If a trove is spitting out arrows etc (from list above) it will continue to spit these out and you will not get as many items to sell as arrows are heavy and not worth anything. Even if it is a level 2 trove and it is spitting allot of arrows I will move on because I will not make as much cash from the stuff I can sell. If a trove spits allot of bows on first pull it will tend to spit out allot of bows on every pull. Every trove has a theme and if you like what you see on first few pulls keep pulling. Like covenant armor is hot right now and since the trove me and rinth found was spitting it we stayed there. It did not spit out much of anything else that was good.

That is the reason when I am selling in the hub I will have like 6 130 mod bows or 8 swords to sell because the trove I just pulled from was spitting allot of the same thing. People have even accused me of duping because there is no way anyone could have that many of the same thing. Even though every item was different in some way.

So now you know everything there is know about troves. .04% chance of a level 3 trove, how to grade a trove and troves have themes. GOOD LUCK.

After months and months of playing, testing and observation here is what I have found out about spawns and troves.

To start out with spawn points are always in a fixed spot. But what spawns there is usualy random. In the old days the spawners would always spawn the same thing as long as you kept the land block hot. The only time random was tossed into the mix was when a land block first spawned. But about 1.5 years ago they redid spawning in a big way. There are still a few old spawn points that spawn same thing over and over again but they are few and far between. There are lots of reason why they changed the spawners and one of them was farming. If I wanted to say kill umbris for loot (which at the time was a good loot mob) I would find a landblock with 3-4 groups of them and kill them over and over again. Now when you kill a spawn point of mobs it will spawn something different the next time. This prevents farming.

The next thing about spawn points is how often they spawn. Once a spawn point is cleared it will respawn something within 1 minute. But the second time you clear the spot it takes 15 minutes to respawn. This also prevents farming a spawn point.

The last thing about a spawn point is a 3 layer type. Layer 1 would be a spawn point that only spawns 1 mob. These spawn points will rarely (if ever) spawn a rare mob or a good trove (more on troves later). A layer 2 spawn point will spawn a group of mobs. Usualy 3 but can be 2 for obsidian golems, or 5 for banderlings or shadows, but is usualy 3 for most mobs. These spots will also never spawn a good trove. Now a layer 3 spot is what your looking for. A layer 3 spot looks exactly like a layer 2 but will spawn rare mobs like diamond lords, dread ursin, crystal lords, dark (skeleton guy) etc etc. If you find a layer 3 spawn point you have found a spot where a good trove can spawn (but you have to be in trove country, more on troves soon).

When you find a rare mob you should write down the coords. (I am thinking about making a database for this).

Now that covers a specific spawn point. Lets broaden that thought and go to the next level. The next factor in spawn points is elevation. I have not done any specific test to see where the cut off points are for these factors but you can pretty much tell by what is spawning at what level you are at. There are 3 elevation factors in deciding on what will spawn where.

(I am using direlands as example here but if you watch mobs in other areas you will see same thing holds true)

Low level or near sea level you have what I call trove country. Only in low laying areas will you ever find troves. It is also crystal lord/golem country. Most mobs in low laying areas are the easiest mobs to kill.

In the middle level you have what I like to call diamond lord country. You will never find diamond lords in low or high ground.

Last you have high level areas.

Things you will see in low level that you won't see anywhere else are trash mobs and obsidian golems. You will never see a diamond golem in low areas as well as diamond lords. But just about every other rare mob you will see in the low laying areas. Like crystal lords, dark skeltons, dread ursin, sentinel frag, etc. That is why I can always find a crystal lord rather quickly because I head to low ground.

In the middle ground is the only place you will find diamond golems. You will also find all the other rare mobs here as stated above. But you will never find obsidian golems or trash mobs on this level.

The high ground is out of range for any of the rare mobs. It really does not have much to offer in the way of good loot mobs. I tend to stick with the low and middle ground areas to maximize my loot intake.

The teth area is the perfect place to see all these examples, as I have shown several people. When you first portal into teth you are on high ground. If you head north you will drop down into a valley. This valley is middle ground. It is one of the best places in the game to find diamond lords. If you run farther north past the little tumerok fort you will drop down into another valley. This is on the edge of low ground and there are tons of crystal golems and crystal lords in this area. I am not sure why it does not spawn troves but if you head a little bit east in that valley you come to the ocean. Troves spawn there allot (opps gave out my secret trove area now)

This area produces more good loot per square foot then almost any other spot in the game. There are some areas around AB that are close.

So we learned there are 3 types of spawn points and 3 heights to spawn points. Plus they spawn random mobs. This makes for a very diverse and exciting hunt. Not like other games *cough* daoc/eq/ao *cough* where an area will always spawn the exact same mobs that drop the exact same loot all the time. Now I know why it takes allot longer to get bored with AC then other games. It is so diverse.

Now your probably saying GET TO THE TROVE PART

After thousands of pulls from troves here is what I have learned. First I will dispell any rumors and tell you what does not work. I have heard things like the longer you wait the more items spawn in a trove. Not true. I have tried pulling as soon as it closes and waited 15 minutes and I find no truth to that claim. I can pull instantly and get 18 items or 5 items and wait 15 minutes or any time in between and the amounts very from 5-18 every time.

I have tried pulling when the trove is at its highest or lowest point (they boob up and down and rotate back and forth) pulling when it is far left or right and every combo in between and I see no differance in loot quantity or quality. I have tried facing every direction and nothing seems to make any differance.

Now in the past I have stated that if you get a good pull on your first pull you will usualy get good items every pull. That is pretty close to true and is still by far the best indicator of a good trove. I now know why a trove is good or not and here is why.

Remember I said that a level 3 spawn spot will spawn rare mobs. Same thing with troves. If a trove is in a level 3 spawn spot it has the possiblity to spawn a rare trove. That is why it is so d**n hard to find a good trove. I have had troves that gave me several majors in a row and others that gave me crap even after 30 pulls. So to maximize your chance of getting a good trove is to find a major concentration of level 3 spawn points and camp the spot until a trove pops up.

OK after explaining this to a few people last night I have another way to explain all this if you don't understand what I said above.

Level 1 trove. Think of it like a mob spawn. It could spawn a crystal golem or it could spawn a Dire ursin. Only 1 mob so the chances are lower you will get the uber item from the trove.

Level 2 trove. It could spawn 3 mobs to 5 mobs. So your chances at pulling a mega item are 3-5 times better.

Level 3 trove. Is where rare mobs spawn. A level 3 spawn point most of the time looks like a level 2 spawn point but every once in a while it becomes a level 3.

So if you think of it terms of Real Life. It is like winning the lottery but with my land block resetting method and soon mapping guide. You will in a sense be cheating the odds.
