3rd party API for AC

Question: What’s your favorite plugin?
Jessica: I don’t use Decal. However, Zyrca has been working on an API for AC1 since so many players use Decal extensively. This will make it so that Decal doesn’t break from anywhere from four hours to four days each patch.

possible QUEST TAB

Question: Can we see some improvements to the character selection screen? Right now, you can only select, create, and delete characters. I’d like to have an accessible list of items so I don’t have to log in each character to see their inventory.

Jessica: Maybe, but it’s tough. We’re looking at various improvements to those areas, including a quest panel for AC1. These will have to wait until after the billing and authentication transition, however.

RARE ITEMS

Will rare items be found in chests?
Answer: They’ll be found on monsters only, but chests are still in discussion.

What are the determining factors for rare drops? (i.e., will someone without healing find a Medicated Healing Kit?)
Answer: The rares are completely random drops.

Aren’t you concerned that high levels will kill low-level monsters to farm rares?
Answer: We’re taking this to account. srand likes to use the lottery analogy to describe the rare system: If you buy one ticket, you have a very tiny chance of winning. If you buy a thousand, you still have a very tiny chance. Doubling one’s kill totals will not significantly increase the chances of the player finding a rare item.

Can a character who does not own the expansion find a rare item?
Answer: No, rares are restricted to only expansion pack owners.

Since the loot generator will be checking if the character owns the expansion pack before dropping a rare, will we see an increase in lag?
Answer: The treasure system already does a decent amount of computation when determining loot. This flag check is trivial compared to some of that, so no noticeable increase in lag is expected.

If a rare drops and no one checks the corpse to loot it, did it really drop?
Answer: The amount of rares is an average based on the random generator, so it will not affect random drops. Since rares are completely random, it's to be expected that some months, no tier 5 items will drop, while some months three will.

Will rare items have an indicator as to which tier they belong to?
Answer: No, but each rare may have a catalogue number so that players can see what ones they are missing. The lower tiers should be obvious, but the higher tiers will be more subtle. The players will probably figure it out.

Answer: You will until we use our item tracking code and ban you!

SKILLS

Will the skill caps be raised?
Answer: Skill and attribute caps will not be raised with the expansion. They will still cap out at around 4.2 billion XP.

Will there be an increase in the specialization credit cap?
Answer: There are no plans to increase the specialization limit in this expansion.

Will we see new skills with the expansion?
Answer: There are no new skills planned for the expansion. Read into that what you will…

Will the Deception skill be buffed in the expansion?
Answer: You should have asked this in the morning session! There’s nothing currently scheduled in the expansion pack that will add value to Deception.


Also doch keine neuen Skills, wie wollen die dann auf 275 Level kommen ???

Answer: That’s on the schedule for the live team.

Will the landmass feature content exclusively for level 126+ characters?
Answer: The new landmass will feature new quests for all level ranges.

Are there any town improvements or meeting places in the expansion?
Answer: Over time, there will be. This will be partly addressed in the expansion, such as the expected influx of new players. We’d like high-level players to be present in towns to help mentor the new players. We need to coordinate this with the Live Team before we provide more details.

also ich würd sagen wieder kein gescheiter high level content .. wahrscheinlich werden 90% von dem neuen gebiet sinnlos :(

naja, das spiel ist halt nicht nur für dauerlevelspinner wie dich und tirami-su gedacht. Ich hab auch 3 Jahre AC gespielt und bin am ende bei lv 81 stehen geblieben ... gibt halt solche spieler und solche.
WoW - mal nen Monat MoP xp probieren.
GW2 -Elonafels, nicht aktiv.
